TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Organizer: KAVALA CHESS CLUB
Venue: Ground Floor of the Great Club (Megali Leshi)(Street Kyprou 12)
Schedule of Games: The games will start 15 minutes after the end of the 5th round of the 34th OPEN.
Playing System: Swiss 7 rounds
Team Composition: 4 members, without any age or sex restrictions. For the tournament to be more interesting we would like to suggest that the combined ELO of each team doesn’t surpass 8500. Every team is free to decide their own name and make it as fun and as creative they’d like.
Rate of Play: 3 minutes per player and 2 seconds per move.
Registrations: The number of the teams that will participate is limited (32 teams). You can REGISTER ONLY VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE on either Viber or WhatsApp to Ms. Valsamidou Dimitra +306949242755. You can register from Wednesday 30/8 10:00am, until Thursday 31/7 11: 00am. When you register the order in which you register the team players is the final order that they will be playing in.
Point system: 2 points per win, 1 for ties, 0 for losses
Tie breaks:1) Direct encounter 2) Points 3) Point of the 1st board, of the 2nd board e.t.c.
Arbiters: The arbiters of the 34th Kavala OPEN -Pairings:Valsamidou Dimitra
Prizes:1st – 2nd – 3nd winning teams (Metals for the players). Metals for the best individual performances on each board.
During the games there will be a small buffet with local delicacies, refreshments and drinks for the athletes.
